29 April 2026 marked the first Europe Day Celebration of the EU Chambers of Commerce in Hungary.
Diplomatic and business representatives of 14 chambers enjoyed an insightful and casual afternoon at the premises of Advantage Austria in Hungary to celebrate unity, culture and connection.
The welcome speeches were delivered by
Maurice Janssen, chair, Dutch-Hungarian Chamber of Commerce
H.E. Mr. Willem van Ee, Ambassador, Netherlands Embassy in Hungary
H.E. Mr. Homer Mavrommatis, Ambassador, Embassy of the Republic of Cyprus in Hungary
H.E. Mr. Ragnar A. Almqvist’, Ambassador, Embassy of Ireland
The keynote presentation by Ákos Kozák Co-Founder, Head of Research, Equilibrium Institute of Budapest focused on the macroeconomic business outlook of Hungary within the EU.
It was followed by the presentation by Stefania Ciraolo,
Head of the European Investment Bank (EIB) Office in Hungary on the EIB funding opportunities, with special attention to the Innovation Fund grants.
Some 100 attendees enjoyed quality business networking with drinks and bites. On the fun side, we also organized a quiz game facilitated by MONDRIAAN Digital Consulting to test our knowledge on the culture, history and business scene of Europe.
